I'm sure you've all discussed this to death but ...
I'm getting a new pc with windows xp pre-installed and I'm suddenly scared
incase my beloved TA and CC might not play
Please let me know if this is a problem.

Semms like some people can get TA & XP to work toghter, while some can't. I
am assumng it all has to do with hardware configuration, and drivers. You
may want to check out this....

You may want to keep that old PC around just in case.

I have TA and CC with XP working fine

I personally opted for a dual boot with 98 and XP to avoid various gaming
hassles assosciated with winXP. I'd do that if I were you.

I have XP TA and CC running with no problems.
