nothing happens..

thanks shonner, but that is basicly what I already did,
now I am wondering, i have a soundblaster live digaltal 5.1 - now I can
listen to music cds via my CD rom drive, but I was wondering,f wether or not
it mattered if i have an AUX cable, on it, instead of a digital, i use a CD
burner to run my game, since i my normal CDrom is broken

Cheers

Several.

Check the following.

1. Check firstly for the obvious. Check volume levels set and sources
enabled in Windows Play Control & whichever sound card control you are
running.

2. TA CD is in drive which is Win assigned and enabled as your *music*
source, AND the drive *audio* out is physically connected, AND the
connection source selected, ie: drive letter AND digital vs analogue,
is the one used.

The most common reasons for the music not to be heard are either the
source is muted or deselected in Creative's SBLive! et al master
control app, or digital or analogue is mis-selected with the either or
neither being physically connected.

If you're using a SBLive! for sound, configure and assign a TA launch
macro with AutoEA, which of course you'll have to enable, and the
problem won't occur again.

You'll have to install or have already installed the Creative Liveware
that came with your sound card. AutoEA (or they might have renamed it
for the SB DD5.1) is an integrated app which comes with it.

Do a search for "audiohq.exe" and launch it. You should be able to
select AutoEA and configure it from within there. It's fairly
intuitive, but if you can't figure it out, as when all else fails read
the help file. :) It'll just be an AutoEA and SB mixer environment
(select speaker from the same iconic window menu) config issue.
