par contre je l'avais mis au Tour des Flandres,à la Fleche Walonne et a Liege Bastogne Liege et maintenant qu'il gagne je l'ai pas!! ( En tout cas c un sacré renard paskil ma paraissait franchement aps le plus fort là dessus!!

HAPPY
You was longing for me to win a great race? You can't imagine how much I was... I have won the Amstel Gold Race, I have reached an important result, I'm happy: you can understand why I wept for joy at the finish. I'm happy but a little sorry. Yes, because my period, the one of "my" Classics is ended now. And I know I could have done better...
You can't imagine how meaningful this victory is for me. Maybe you can imagine it in part. You know it, you that read my diary every day. You know my devotion, my will of being again "the old Bartoli", the one many people thought was becoming a picture of a poster and a finish-line for me, but sometimes also an oppressive shadow. You know my devotion - I was telling you - my troubles and my doubts.
I have won also thanks to the perfect team game of my mate Ivanov. The success of the team ( 1st and 2nd positions) is a further reward. I dedicate this Amstel to everyone who believed in me but above all to my wife Alessandra and to the son we are expecting: I love him as if I could already have embraced him. I really hope three years' troubles have passed and the last lacerating uncertainties are finished now. I hope it also for them.
I start again from Maastricht, a "new paragraph". The next stop is the Giro d'Italia to help my friend Casagrande winning the Maglia Rosa. And maybe I could have a great satisfaction on the finish-line that I couldn't have crossed again this year if I didn't race the Giro. The finish of the Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the same charming finish of the second stage of the "pink race". You see, I've won the Amstel and I can't avoid thinking about the Liège-Bastogne-Liège. And about the Ronde van Vlaanderen. My races. But I will come back.
