salut, je prends le temps de trouver un des moult post du venerable Zwzsg! maitre enssestral du script et fanboy de TRO !! héhé
qui details comment faire le reporter d'un recorder en 3D de TA ... sisi
Using the 3D replayer There are many reef to avoid for successfully using the beautiful 3D replayer. Here's a detailed step-by-step :
- First, make sure to use the non-boneyard version of the 3.1c patch when building your TA install - Then, download the latest demo recorder/replayer : tademo99b2.exe (only the latest version support 3D replay) - When installing it, let the recorder patch your totala.exe if your windows is old - Run tademo\replayer, click options, click record automatically, include player name, create txt accompanying .tad files. - Play a multiplayer game (won't work with skirmish) - If you are using a custom map in the .ota .tnt form, pack it into an .ufo Use HPIPack for this task, as loading and saving in a map editor would technically make a different incompatible map - If your playing an OTA map, make sure the file totala2.hpi is on your hard drive and not only on the CD. - If your are using a custom mod using special files extension (for exemple WarHammer TA use .wtx), rename the file into .ufo .hpi .ccx so their content can be recognised by the 3D replayer (note that .ufo files are not read by some custom exe) - Rename any 3rd party custom .exe as totala.exe (and patch it a bit) - Make sure there is the line "127.0.0.1 localhost" in your hosts file so that you don't have to be connected to watch replays - Double click the .tad and it should normaly open it with the recorder - Launch replayer, use Internet TCP/IP (I heard IPX might work too) - When in TotalA battleroom, wait for the "*** Unit sync is complete" message before touching anything - Make sure you join as a regular player, do not join as a watcher - Only when "*** Unit sync is complete" click the green led - No need to type .3dta, usually it's auto-enabled - For some odd reason, the 3D replayer won't work if the TotalA resolution (2D TotalA itself, not 3D replayer) is set to 640x480 - Once the replay is running well, Alt+TAB out of totala and run the 3D replayer - When new textures are found, you have to exit the 3D replayer and re-run it to display them. - My advice when using the 3D replay the first time is : wait a while, use .pos 80 and scroll around the map to make as many "new texture found" messages appear, then exit and re-run the 3D replayer, and go back to .pos 10. - To do a screenshot in the 3D replayer press F11 and a .bmp will be created in the directory in which the replayer was installed. I found it by accident, it is one of the very few thing not written in the doc. If you do screenshots with other means (PrintScreen key for instance), you could end up with images with units cutted in half. - Read carefully the documentation provided with the recorder, it has many valuable information. - Yet when doing all this some Total Conversions still lack a few textures and weapons. - Some times ago Yoyobuae announced he was working on a 3DTA interface so we could play, and not only watch TA games in full 3D. I wonder how is that project going. Here's his first post about it. - The Swedish Yankspankers themselves are currently working on a 3D RTS engine using TA units, called TA Spring.
