OT - Video Card Question

I know this is kinda off-topic, however it kinda relates to the fact that I
STILL can't play TA.

I'm no computer dummy, but I simply CANNOT find a listing of what kind of
freakin' video card this thing has.

I've looked under device managers, etc, but can't seem to find a listing.
I've been trying to find it to dl some new drivers to see if that helps, but
as of yet, no luck. I'd like to NOT have to resort to opening the case up
and seeing who's name is actually stamped on the damn card.

Reason I believe that TA won't work cuz of the video card is because now my
monitor's starting to act up on me too -and I know it's not the monitor.

Anyhow, if anyone could help me out here, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Stevie Z

Hey Steve,

Look under Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Display Adapters

There's where it all falls apart though Marty - at "Display Adapters" - I
don't have any such listing under Windows XP that lists either "Display
Adapters" or anything similar that looks like it MIGHT actually be a video
card.

Gawd I hate XP.......

Hiya Steve.
I don't know if you've tried this yet, but anyway, Right click on the
desktop, click on "Properties", When that opens, click on"Settings", go down
to "Advanced" & click on that, when that opens you should have a few tabs
across the top of that window, There should be one saying "Adaptor", Click
on that & that should tell you what video card you have, If the drivers have
been loaded correctly that is.
Hope this is off some help, If not, you may have to resort to cracking the
case.

Aido.

PS: These instructions are for Win98 & ME, You don't say what operating
system your using, but it should be very much the same with XP & Win2000.

Or better yet get off your lazy ass and open the case. If it's a bad video
card you're going to have to open the case anyway. It's not XP's fault you
have a video card it doesn't support and it's certainly not XP's fault if
it's a BAD video card.
